Psychedelic Preparation & Integration Therapy in Charlotte

When insight opens the door — and integration does the work

Psychedelic experiences can open profound states of insight, emotional access, and perspective. But insight alone does not create lasting change.

Without careful preparation and thoughtful integration, even meaningful experiences can remain fragmented, destabilizing, or fade without being embodied.

Psychotherapy is where these experiences are metabolized into sustainable change.

I offer psychedelic preparation and integration therapy for individuals who want to work with expanded states of awareness in a grounded, ethical, and psychologically sound way.

Scope of this work

Within this practice, psychedelic preparation and integration therapy refers to psychotherapeutic support before and after psychedelic experiences.

The services offered here focus on:

  • psychological readiness and nervous system stability

  • meaning-making and integration

  • emotional and somatic processing

  • long-term behavioral and relational change

This work does not involve the provision of substances, nor the facilitation of psychedelic experiences within this practice.

A depth-oriented foundation

My approach is informed by extensive study and experiential understanding of altered states of consciousness, alongside formal training in trauma-informed, somatic, and relational psychotherapy.

Within the context of licensed psychotherapy, this work centers the nervous system, psychological safety, and ethical integration — rather than the experience itself.

The question guiding this work is not what happened, but:

How does this become lived, embodied change over time?

Preparation: building capacity and consent

Preparation is one of the most critical — and most overlooked — aspects of this work.

Preparation therapy may include:

  • Clarifying intentions without rigid expectations

  • Assessing nervous system resilience and psychological stability

  • Identifying trauma patterns or vulnerabilities that may emerge

  • Developing grounding, containment, and self-regulation skills

  • Understanding how altered states may interact with anxiety, depression, or dissociation

  • Establishing internal and external support structures

The goal is not control or performance — it is capacity, consent, and coherence.

Integration: where transformation becomes real

An experience may be catalytic.

Integration is what determines whether it becomes transformative.

Integration therapy focuses on:

  • Working with symbolic, emotional, and somatic material

  • Supporting nervous system regulation following heightened states

  • Processing grief, awe, fear, or disorientation

  • Translating insight into relational, behavioral, and embodied change

  • Preventing fragmentation, bypassing, or retraumatization

This is slow, intentional work — and it is where depth is built.

Who this work is for

This work is well-suited for individuals who:

  • Are psychologically stable and self-reflective

  • Value ethical containment and discernment

  • Are seeking preparation or integration — not facilitation

  • Want to move beyond peak experiences into sustained change

  • Are open to embodied, relational, and systems-based therapy

Careful screening and pacing are essential.

This work is not appropriate for everyone.

Legal and professional boundaries

All services offered through this practice are provided within the scope of licensed psychotherapy and in accordance with North Carolina law.

The focus of this work is therapeutic preparation and integration — not the administration or facilitation of substances.
